Recent Projects - Scottish Power Energy Networks - North

Finnieston 132/33kV Substation - 132kV Grid & Primary Substation works. Full circuit design associated with the new 132/33kV Grid and Primary substation works, including modifications to the existing 132kV intertripping at Partick and Windyhill 132/33kV substations. Also included was the management of the panel build. Westfield 132/33kV and Hunterston Windfarm 33kV Substations - 33kV Switchboard New/Replacements. At these sites interface engineering of the new 33kV switchboards with existing protection schemes, which also included modification of circuit and interface designs to match intertripping and protection systems to the new equipment installed on the replacement 33kV switchboards. Various Primary Substations - 33/11kV AVC Schemes. Full circuit design associated with the supply of AVC panels to Scottish Power Standard designs. Longannet 275kV substation - 275kV FeederProtection Refurbishment. Full circuit design, modification to existing circuit designs and interface engineering associated with the RETS Denny North 400/275/132kV substation works. Work included for the replacement of feeder protections on the existing Bonnybridge, Windyhill/Lambhill, Clydesmill and Easterhouse circuits and the reconfiguration of circuits due to the turning of circuits to Denny North substation. Dewar Place 275/33kV Substation - Substation and Transformer Replacements. Dewar Place Substation is major electricity bulk supply point for the City of Edinburgh. Scottish Power requirements was the reconstruction of Dewar Place which was constrained by the requirement to maintain secure supplies to the 33kV network. For this project full circuit design and interface engineering was provided for the multiple staged works to install new GIS equipment comprising of the 275kV switchgear, 33kV switchboards, 275/33kV Supergrid Transformers, Primary 33/11kV transformers, Shunt Reactorsand associated Reactor switchgear together with dedicated water cooling systems, this was the first time of using the Toshiba, GIS transformers and reactors in the UK. Also included was the associated 33kV remote end protection alterations.
